  1. Elizabeth on her “My Bike”

    April 3, 2012 by admin

It’s finally been warm enough for Elizabeth to ride her 4-wheeler outside. She rips on and off the grass, off the curb and crashes into anything that is in her way. One problem that she has had is that she will be driving but not looking where she is going and has had some bad spills. But that hasn’t seem to slow her down.

  2. Elizabeth turns 2!

    April 3, 2012 by admin

To celebrate Elizabeth turning two years old we had a Minnie Mouse themed birthday party. Minnie Mouse is her favorite character right now along with anything from Toy Story. So it is fitting that she received tons of Toy Story gifts. Like last year, she was too fond of her huge cupcake (she doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth as of yet) but she LOVES to blow out candles. She had a good time seeing all of her big uncles in Minnie Mouse ears as well as taking swings at her Minnie Mouse pinata.
It is so weird to think that our little girl was born two years ago. It really does just seem like yesterday but I also cannot remember what life was like without her. She’s an interesting combination of being very curious and not afraid to climb the biggest slide but is also a very sensitive and caring child. She is quick to share her “blanky and pillow” to anyone that she thinks may be hurt.
I have never seen a more social and out going child with her “friends” which is anyone that she thinks is a kid. This can be a one year old or a seven year old. She lives for nursery when she gets to play for two hours and sing songs. There is nothing more cute than her singing the songs she has learned to her baby doll that she totes around with her.
We’ve had the BEST two years with you E and wouldn’t change anything about you! We can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

  3. Splash Pads

    November 26, 2011 by admin

This summer we spent at least one day a week playing at a Splash Pad. Splash Pads are water parks without slides and large bodies of water. The water shoots up from spouts on the ground and play equipment. So this is perfect for younger children who are too young to be in a pool by themselves. She has such a great time running around, playing and splashing in the water. It is a great thing to do to get her nice and worn out for her afternoon nap.  We went a few times with our friends Cooper and Miles Hickman. She loves those boys and they all play really well together.

  4. The Utah State Fair

    November 26, 2011 by admin

This September we took our annual trip to the Utah State Fair.  Elizabeth was in awe with all that was going on.  Lots of people, food, music, lights and rides. To try and keep track of her we brought her red wagon (which she loves to ride in).  I guess there was too much fun that she felt that she was missing out on because we couldn’t get her to stay in it. She wanted to walk/run all over the place.  She went on rides with her dad and loved walking through all of the livestock.  And as always, she enjoyed lots of treats!

  5. August & Tracy Aviary

    November 26, 2011 by admin

Elizabeth LOVES animals and loved the Tracy Aviary.  She ran from bird to bird making noises and talking to them.  She liked to stick her hand inside the fence to get as close to them as possible.  She had a great time with her Papa.

Right next to the aviary is a park which has carnival type rides as well as snow cones and treats. As you can see from the pictures, she couldn’t stop smiling.

  6. 4th of July

    November 24, 2011 by admin

This 4th of July we had a barbecue in Grandma T’s backyard. Elizabeth was in awe of sparklers and loved dancing around with them. With Elizabeth being the only grandchild so far on her mom’s side of the family, she is the center of attention and she wouldn’t have it any other way.  She had a blast running around and playing with her uncles!

  7. Bear Lake and Family Reunion

    November 24, 2011 by admin

This July we had a family reunion in Bear Lake. Elizabeth had such a blast playing with Phoebe and all of the kids around. We had a blast boating, eating great food, playing in the sand, playing games, digging for sea shells, and playing in the water. Elizabeth couldn’t get enough of red licorice and every time I would turn around she would have another handful. We had a great time being with extended family and can’t wait until we all get to be together at this time next year.

  8. May Flowers

    September 27, 2011 by admin

May has been such a fun month! Elizabeth has really come to LOVE being outside. She has a blast playing in her pool! She cannot get enough of the water. She has started her swim lessons too. For her first set of lessons, a parent gets into the pool and holds them while the instructor helps. There are four other children in her class and all she wants to do is hug, splash, and play with the other children.

Since taking her to a few Aquariums and realizing how much she loves fishes and of course water, we got a pass to the Aquarium close to our house.  It wouldn’t surprise anyone if I told them that she loved to pet the sting rays.  She does however, try and drink the salt water…

To stay on the theme of WATER, another thing that E can spend hours doing is splashing in the bath. She talks to and sings with her toys while soaking up the bubbles.

Give this girl some popcorn and candy and she is good to go. She has become really into movies and her favorite right now is Tangled. She can watch it over and over and over again. She also likes anything Minnie Mouse or Princess.

  9. The Easter Bunny

    September 24, 2011 by admin

Elizabeth ate enough chocolate to last until next Easter.  She was in awe that she could pop open plastic eggs and there was chocolate candies in them just for her.  I’m not sure why the Easter bunny brought so many! Elizabeth also sat on the Easter Bunny’s lap at the Country Club.  Most children that were her age and even a few years older were scared and would not sit on the bunny’s lap.  She jumped right up in her pretty Easter dress and smiled. Hopefully next Easter the bunny doesn’t bring SO much…

  10. This is The Place Monument

    September 24, 2011 by admin

Our cousins from Colorado were in town for a week so one fun thing that we did was see the “This is The Place” monument in Salt Lake. There were quite a few little activities and sights for the kids to see and do.  It is no surprise that Elizabeth’s favorite thing was the train ride. She had a blast playing with her cousins. We were all sad to see them go back home.
